Talent Biography
Noel James was born and raised in the Swansea Valley, Wales. His upbringing was in both English and Welsh. When he was 18 he went to Manchester Uni where he graduated 3 years later with a degree in physics. He also has a PGCE in teaching. Shortly after he went to London where he began performing on the alternative comedy scene. His comedy is often described as surreal. He writes all his own material, and specializes in word smithery.
Noel has developed and expanded his comedy act over the years so today it includes jokes, impersonations, visual humour as well as music. Though he mainly speaks without instrument he can also play a little piano, and guitar. He has learnt to juggle. Noel has played weddings, festivals, colleges, schools, pubs – even a funeral – you name it and Noel’s done it. His CV also features Cruise ships pre-covid, the Falklands tri-military base in 2017, as well as Zoom gigs.
His television appearances include the BBC One stand up show, Channel 4’s Packing Them In, and more recently he was a semi finalist on Britain’s Got Talent (2018). Acting work includes Brecht’s Chalk Circle which toured Wales in 2019. also voice over work for kids’ cartoons
