Talent Biography

The Rave-Ons are a high energy rock and roll band originally formed to revitalize the music of Buddy Holly and the Crickets. They produce and star in two different Buddy Holly tribute shows as well as a 50’s rock and roll tribute and a classic rock tribute of music influenced by Buddy Holly. For concerts, they have over a hundred early and classic rock and roll tunes in their repertoire. The Rave-Ons are led by Todd Meredith, who has performed as Buddy Holly in two US national tours of The Buddy Holly Story musical and numerous tribute concerts for the past fifteen years. They have dazzled audiences all over the world on Holland America, Celebrity, Regent, and Norwegian cruise lines.

Show 1: THAT’LL BE THE DAY: A TRIBUTE TO BUDDY HOLLY AND THE CRICKETS

Our high energy tribute show takes the audience through the brief but hugely influential career of Buddy Holly and The Crickets starting with their early days in Lubbock to their recordings in Clovis, New Mexico and ending with Buddy’s final Winter Dance Party concert. In between all of Buddy Holly’s most famous songs, the band tells humorous stories about the Crickets and involves the audience in their banter.
