Talent Biography

Susan Morrison has been an MC at The Stand Comedy club since the day it opened, and she has taken to the stage in clubs from Bournemouth to Berlin. She is a writer, broadcaster and comedian with two grown-up children and a very patient husband. She might work in comedy, but she lives in history - particularly the nasty, silly, earthy, sleazy history they don’t teach you in school. Susan’s take on the past means that comedy does 'Netflix and chill' with history. It's all good and well until one of them gets a nasty disease….

She has presented radio documentaries on BBC Scotland for over 20 years, unearthing the lesser explored histories of, amongst many things, women, pirates, witches and even toilets. A published author, she has her own weekly column in the Scottish press.
