Originally from Scotland’s West Coast, in 2011 at the age of 19, Andy entered ITV’s ‘The X Factor’ as a soloist to showcase his phenomenal vocal abilities, and from 200,000 hopefuls became part of the boyband ‘The Risk’ finishing 8th on the Live Shows.
Upon leaving the show the band became the highest requested act for bookings and went on to sign a record deal with Warner Bros. The Risk released their first single, “Missiles” which reached the UK top 40, and were part of the number 1 record for the charity X Factor single “Wishing Upon A Star”. Andrew extensively toured the country on the X Factor Arena tour, performed at the Wireless Festival in Birmingham after being voted the Best Unsigned Talent in the UK from social networking sites, supported Peter Andre on his Up Close and Personal UK tour and has appeared and performed on ITV’s Loose Women.
In 2015 Andy was offered the chance to become a Vocalist onboard the luxury 6 star yacht style cruise liner Seabourn Quest with Belinda King Productions which was followed by another voyage through Asia and the Middle East on the Seabourn Sojourn.
Andrew has performed from the age of 11, and donated the proceeds of his first CD “Beginnings” to the CLIC Sargent Cancer Charity after he lost a friend to the illness. This raised over £60,000 and as a result he was awarded the Bighearted Award and is now proud to be a Youth Ambassador for the Scottish Charity.
