Biography

Todd Meredith  & The Rave-Ons are a high energy rock and roll band originally formed to revitalize the music of Buddy Holly and the Crickets.  They produce and star in two different Buddy Holly tribute shows as well as a 50’s rock and roll tribute and a classic rock show.  They have over a hundred  rock and roll tunes in their repertoire. The Rave-Ons are led by Todd Meredith, who has performed in 19 separate productions of the BUDDY HOLLY STORY musical as Buddy Holly and in tribute concerts for the past twelve years. He met fellow founding member and guitarist extraordinaire, Jeremy Renner, while performing the musical at The El Dorado Casino in Reno.  They were later joined by Jacob Callis on the bass and Matthew Watson on the drums.  They have played together all over the world, dazzling audiences at such venues as:

Show 1: THAT’LL BE THE DAY: A TRIBUTE TO BUDDY HOLLY AND THE CRICKETS

Our high energy tribute show takes the audience through the brief but hugely influential career of Buddy Holly and The Crickets starting with their early days in Lubbock to their recordings in Clovis, New Mexico and ending with Buddy’s final Winter Dance Party concert. In between all of Buddy Holly’s most famous songs, the band tells humorous stories about the Crickets and involves the audience in their banter.

The boys delve into their extensive catalogue of 50’s hits to pay tribute to Chuck Berry, Elvis, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, and many others in a performance guaranteed to electrify!  Put on your blue suede shoes and poodle skirts and come dance the night away!

The Rave-Ons play everyone’s favorite rock and roll hits from the 50’s all the way up until the early 80’s with different classic rock songs constantly being swapped in and out of the repertoire.  This show can be easily tailored to the age group of the cruise ship’s audience.
