Biography

Stephen Fisher-King is one of Australia’s most dynamic live entertainers.
He’s performed on stages around the world, amazing audiences with his incredible voice
and energy. Stephen has performed principal roles in major musical theatre productions including Evita,
Cats, Hello Dolly and The New Rocky Horror Show, and he’s even sung the National Anthem
at the rugby league State of Origin to a live audience of more than 80,000 people!
Now he’s bringing the 1970s to life with his fantastic new show .
’Songs of the Seventies’ includes hits from the grooviest decade of them all, featuring The
Eagles, John Denver, Don McLean and Simon and Garfunkel.

Stephen has collected nine of the entertainment industry’s prestigious MO Awards and seven Australian Club Entertainment Awards, including Best Male Vocalist and Peter Allen Variety Performer of the Year Award, all for his brilliance on stage.   He has performed principal roles in major musical theatre productions including Evita, Cats, Hello Dolly and The New Rocky Horror Show.

Stephen shared the stage with Sarah Brightman as he performed alongside Anthony Warlow in the Australasian tour of The Music Of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Stephen was called on to step into Warlow’s shoes, performing ‘Memory’ from Cats, backed by a 40 piece orchestra, before a crowd of thousands.

Stephen has sung the National Anthem at the Rugby League State of Origin to a live audience of 80,000, with another two million watching on television, and he’s performed regularly on numerous TV shows including Midday and the John Mangos Morning Show.

Now, he’s enjoying re-living the 1970s, with his hit-shows Songs of the Seventies and 70s Unplugged.

Vocal coaching guru Donald Graydon, author of ‘Mind Behind the Voice’ selected Stephen as the ‘voice’ on his series of recordings and brilliant composer Christopher Bowen honoured Stephen with the title role in his exciting production of ‘Nosferatu’. He also performed a lead tole in ‘Beaudy’ at Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Stephen is a vibrant and exciting performer who takes as much delight in performing musical theatre as he does delivering the greatest hits of the 1970s.
