Angelique

Act Information

Biography

Its no question that Angelique was born for the stage. From a young age Angelique was singing and performing music by Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, and Patti Labelle in front of big audiences. Her gift has always been able to entertain the masses and leave them wanting for more.
She developed her craft in middle and high school with voice lessons, theater, and choirs. At Howard University she was able to continue her training and cross paths with Debbie Allen, Phylicia Rashad, and countless musical influences that shaped her voice. She has also trained at facilities in New York City like Cap21, Broadway Dance Center, and with the amazing Gwen Conley, a singer and friend to the late great Ray Charles. She continues to train with mentors that always keep her on her toes.
Angelique’s professional experiences span all over the country and even internationally. She has graced the stage at Jennifer Lewis’ old cabaret spot Don’t Tell Mama, performed many theater productions in New York and surrounding areas, and most recently has been seen performing for BB Kings Blues Clubs all over the world.
Be on the look out for her new debut show Angelique Unplugged, set to tour stages this fall. You want to hear some real singing? Trust me, you won’t regret it.
